Back to the Regularly Scheduled Program

Back to regular blogging. I'll try to leave the artsy junk for Open Office. :o)

If you're a Star Wars fan and want to visit inside my head for a moment, click this link. My kids found it a week or 2 ago and that song is stuck in my head now. "My - my - my backpack's got jets. . ."

I'll try to get the fishy pics up later. Too lazy to go monkey on the other computer just now.

Last night we all watched "Yours, Mine, and Ours" which is mildly ironic considering the title of the poem 2 posts down. It was an entertaining film, and Dennis Quaid looks as hawt as ever. And in uniform, too. Yum! Who can resist a man in uniform? Not me. Pretty standard formula (I do think I'd like to see a departure from the norm) but still very watchable considering what's available to watch *with* children these days.

I drank cocoa this morning and then realised it was chocolate. (duh - really only the solid stuff seems like chocolate to me) D'oh! Last night I dreamed I was eating real chocolate but it turned out to be OK because it was Easter. I didn't think this abstaining from chocolate was all that hard, but I guess my subconscious does. :o)

Hey She-Ra - when are the Getaway Drivers gonna come play Motown? You guys should really see about booking a gig here. :o)

Time to blast off for now. Ahhhhhhh, my backpack's got jets. . .

Loooooolllll

Got me singing that now. Everybody's gonna hate me. I'll lose all my IRL friends. Then I'll just have Blog friends left. And I'll spend more time blogging. And become a blogger slave. And most nude photos of myself. Arrgl! It's all a trap!!!

This is as good as the World of Warcraft song-in-the-game, "The Internet is for P0rn"... and THAT was brilliant.

Why Fal, that was *exactly* my plan. How did you know? >:-} I'll "give you a head start, cuz I'm a sportin' [tart]. . . Hope you have hyperdrive!"

I'm not familiar with the other one. Got a link for me?? :-)

I like how certain words are bleeped out with wookies, lightsabers, etc. LOL! I have to burn this to CD somehow.

Did you catchBoba's bumpersticker? *grin*

Oh - I see that the same folks did a Warcraft vid - that must be it, eh?

Apparently, I can't either. However, I actually think I'm one of the few women who isn't terribly impressed by uniforms :) I'm much more impressed by men who know how to dress themselves well.

Oh, there's just something about uniforms that goes straight to my - ah - euphemism. :-) I don't even know if it matters what KIND of uniform. Well, maybe not a bus driver uniform. Or McDonald's. But I think most others do the trick. Maybe that's why I like tuxes. They're sort of uniform-y. And they have the same elements of precision, clean lines, and lack of distracting riotous colours. (insert Homer-like noise of appreciation here - how would I spell that?)

Or maybe it's just the warrior thing and the James Bond thing for me. What do you think?

You'd better get yourself a HUGE chocolate bunny for Easter.

Oooooo, Fal's posting nude pics?! I'll be right there!

I want the tux pics first, and then he can lose it one piece at a time.

Okay, that Star Wars clip was better than all three prequels combined. Thank you for sharing.

Just for you, Egan, just for you. And Fal. :o) Now, who's posting tux pics first?? My 8 yo is reading over my shoulder and just recognised you as "the guy who tried to make the dolphin noises" which, I think, is a big step up from Peeing-in-the-pool Guy. :-D

Hey Fal, you know the song that they used in the WoW clip was not original. It's from a Broadway musical called "Avenue Q". I was in Vegas for a con a couple of weeks ago and it was the hot show there.

As for the SW clip, I'm not sure I want to see it after reading these comments. I used to work for a company that was a LucasFilm licensee and my opinion of "Dear George" is very damn low.

:O

I think you have a point--uniforms certainly look sharp. I think it's symbolic of all the things women instinctively look for in a man: has a job, is clean/neat, and probably takes orders :)

Mkae - you are getting very sleepy. You feel that you really, really want to see this clip. . .

The porn song? Was in an musical? Now that I might need to see, LOL!

Dude, don't be dissin' George on my blog. He's still my hero. After Fal, of course. ;o) Nah, you can say whatever you want as long as you're not too mean. But he's still my hero.

Kitkat - ooooh - you may be onto something there. What a delightfully evil girl you are! :o) Is it warped that I even like Boba's uniform? Talk about a warrior!
